Certifications / Training:
O.C.: Ordained Clergy; The Medicine Wheel Society of First Nations
2020 - May 2023 - The Institute of Bioenergetic Medicine
Bringing it all together along my own healing journey. In 1996, I made an informal promise to myself to one day do what I had to in order to care for and nurture the spirit of others. This was not a glorious, self-gratifying goal. My intention emerged as a survivor of spiritual, emotional, physical, and psychological challenges throughout my young life. I did not trust enough to reach out to elicit help from others, but I did encounter others who elicited help from me. This lent to my personal promise to one day return to academia to acquire the credentials necessary to responsibly provide holistic care services.
I returned to academia in 2009 and have been in classrooms ever since. One existential question was all it took to open up pathways for my journey, "Where is the spirit of the individual in all of these theories of care and support for the human experience?"
My (our) learning journey is life-long. I will always be a student and will never know enough.
2012 - 2016 - The Iliff School of Theology
My intention to return to academia in 2009 was to pursue the credentials necessary to serve others as a Spiritual Counselor.
As I worked to complete my BA in Psychology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, I had yet to hear of the dis/connection between mind and spirit that I believed was a huge part of our overall health and well-being. I was looking for that magical connection and insight within society that confirmed, for me, that where the spirit was broken, the mind and body would follow.
In a clever attempt to unite the human psyche with the spirit and health or well-being of the individual, I planned out a Masters degree in Theology, Social Justice, Advocacy, & Pastoral Care. Amazingly, by the end of my Masters program, "Whole-person Care" through Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy was quick-moving to the forefront of mental health care.
Hospital Chaplain Intern, Pastoral Care Provider
2013 - 2017
I have completed two Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units serving my community members as a Hospital Chaplain Intern. My first experience as a Hospital Chaplain was at CeDAR, an in-patient program for substance use and recovery at the University of Colorado Hospital. My second unit was completed at Littleton Adventist Hospital serving patients, hospital staff, and patient family members.
I was originally ordained through Universal Life Church, which I felt was totally appropriate because although I am extremely pious and grateful and dedicated to my faith, I am not a follower of any specific religion nor do I have any affiliation with any one church. My personal theology is the culmination of many spiritual traditions including Metaphysics, Religious Science, Science of Mind, Pagan, Wicca, Buddhism, Catholicism, Christianity, Native American Spirituality, Taoism, Theosophy, and Hinduism.
My spiritual journey has introduced me to many traditions of faith, and as a survivor of spiritual pain, spiritual harm, and spiritual abuse, I came to accept for my own personal truth, that the Divine is so massive and great, that there are no boundaries to limit spiritual access and activity from any living being (including the earth, animals, plants, ecosystems, etc.)
As a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner and Ordained Clergy, I serve individuals of any or no religious or spiritual belief systems.
I am now ordained through The Medicine Wheel Society of First Nations. Non-traditional Clergy services are available for Weddings, Baptisms (for adults and children), House Blessings, and Funerals.
Doctorate Student in Natural Medicine
2020 - Present
I am currently working towards dual doctorates in Natural & Sacred Medicine (DNM/DSM, respectively). As part of my studies and practicums, I have gained extensive knowledge in Neo and Traditional Biofeedback and Bio-psycho-physiology which involves measuring and assessing body signs through either heart rate variability, galvanic skin responses, muscle tension, brainwave activity, or breathing rhythms and patterns that can reveal a lot about where an individual may be having the most difficulty with energetic imbalances, meridian disruptions, carrying stress, or may be impacted by nutritional deficiencies, spiritual pain, psychological disorders, or incorrect ergonomics.
These messages (body signs) allow practitioners of natural medicine to teach individuals how to self-regulate and work towards sustaining a state of homeostasis. Holistic Healthcare Practitioners may also make recommendations on how to correct or bring those things into harmony through natural or alternative means.
Clinical HeartMath Certified Practitioner for Stress, Anxiety, and Emotional Management
2020 - Present
As a Certified HeartMath Practitioner, I offer a four-session program for stress, anxiety, and emotional management where you will learn (and practice) integrating and building upon self-regulation skills and techniques, each of which has been scientifically proven to reduce the physiological impact of stress and/or anxiety.
The benefits of working with a certified practitioner include the opportunity to see real-time results for yourself, using the EMWave Pro Plus software, and to witness the direct correlations between your heartrate, breathing rate, and brainwave activity and experience the physiological changes within each session.
In my four-session program, each session lasts for about one hour where you will practice implementing the skills and techniques and gradually build upon each skillset. By the end of the four sessions, you will have learned over eight new self-regulation skillsets. Visit my HeartMath page for more information and learning opportunity downloads.
Certified Auricular Therapist
2020 - Present
Auricular therapy is a popular analysis and treatment tool that is being used around the world for the treatment of a huge range of experiences or symptoms. It is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is used by many healthcare practitioners, including those in the U.S. Military. The list below is not exclusive, it is just a few samples of the benefits of auricular therapy.
Certified AcuDetox Specialist, ADS (NADA)
Auricular therapy is non-invasive and painless, and many have experienced immediate results. Auricular therapy can be received through either laser stimulation, electrical stimulation, or with acupuncture needles. I utilize the Point-O-Select which treats points on the ear through low voltage electrical stimulation. I am certified by the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute to provide auricular treatment protocols.
** The only auricular acupuncture service that I provide is the AcuDetox (NADA Protocol) as a weekend support group "Collective Compassion" service - Certified ADS - Walk-ins for NADA support groups are welcome.
2013 - Present
I am a Certified Addiction Technician. I received my CAC I (now, CAT) in 2016 and am currently working on my CACII (now, CAS) - Certified Addiction Specialist. Until I complete my CAS, I am serving my community through group education as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner and Recovery Coach.
My work experience as a CAT was co-facilitating court mandated DUI classes. I am trained in Group Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Many of the support groups we offer at Healing Ministers United, PLLC are psycho-educational to support not only those working through recovery towards rehabilitation, but also those working to nurture themselves back to wellness in mind, body, and spirit. Participants in our psycho-educational groups are not required to be in recovery, however, we do ask that those in recovery, be sober for at least 90 days.
Our psycho-educational groups are exactly that, they are meant to be educational and primarily involve learning about the mind, body, and spirit connections and their interplay on the body systems including hormonal, nervous, lymphatic, circulation, and "Chi". We have intentionally scheduled of our support groups to correspond with the Circadian Clock to assist in harmonizing the rhythms of detox especially during specific organ times of the day.
"Community Compassion" AcuDetox Support groups are held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from 4:30pm - 6pm beginning April 10, 2022.
11am - 1pm (Support) -- Heart / Small Intestine
4:30pm - 6pm (NADA AcuDetox) -- Bladder / Kidney

I learned the hard way - there is no need to make the same mistakes I did
Whether you are dreaming of owning your own business or whether you are already established, the process can be somewhat overwhelming and maybe even a little intimidating.
Time is limited and all you really want are some answers to some very basic questions:
Where do I start?
How do I register with the state?
What is an EIN? How do I get one?
Where will I get the funding?
Should I use my personal cash / credit to get started?
What if my personal credit isn't so great?
How do I get a loan through the bank?
What is business credit?
Back in 2016, I learned the answers to these questions the hard way! I maxed out my personal credit cards, depleted all the cash I had, and even pawned my vehicle to get started.
Once I saw the damage these actions had on my personal credit score, I was extremely stressed and worried about how to recover. I was so stressed that I decided to take a course on business and consumer credit. The training took longer than the time it took to obtain business credit and loans, and purchase my first company vehicle. Now, I have two vehicles in my company name and have over $75,000.00 in credit cards and business loans.
Business credit is very different from consumer credit. I do not have all these loans and credit because I need them. Business credit is so different, that using it gets you more credit - whereas doing such a thing with your personal credit could hurt your credit score and make lenders a little uneasy and hesitant about extending you credit. Using business credit is a plus, and a big (HUGE) plus!
Your "FREE simple 5 Step Checklist" ebook (from CreditSuite) is available for download below.
